Mixed Ideas

Here is everything I stand for and love. Combining words, techniques and capturing many different aspects of the one thing no human being can live without.

Here’s to the thing that transforms us ~ The beauty of art, and with it, the art of beauty.

How Society’s Idea of beauty destroys people

About Her

I promise you she was the ocean. And I promise you she couldn’t be described otherwise. First, you are drawn to her out of curiosity, a vague interest. But as you get closer and closer, you are ambushed by her waves; strong, deep, lively, but undoubtably sweet and beautiful waves. Once you are sinking deeper and deeper within her, you can’t stop; actually, you don’t want to. For she is a metamorphosis of colors and songs, and the deeper you sink into her, the more you realise that leaving the shore was the greatest thing you had ever done.

I promise you she was the ocean..

…If she was electric, if she blew your mind with how much she loved life, beauty, adventure and color, if she made you feel alive and wild, yet safe and sure and if her eyes held deeper stories than any other you had seen, know that her soul is a garden. But not just any garden; one that is evergreen and storylike and deeply grounded

… No matter what, she will be loved even deeper; more than any other living thing on this earth. For her soul is a garden and with every breath, she exhales something beautiful and meaningful.

…And if she is all these things, there is no stopping her. Whatever it may be, she can.

Faces tell stories, and so they are powerful because they are all one of a kind, they inspire something, something more. They force us to believe in Something higher than ourselves, something of unimaginable magnitude, beauty and character.
They show beauty, all kinds of it; time, emotions, fragility, and infinitely more. Therefore, in all of their simple complexity, none could call them anything less than works of art.

People constantly try to tell us who we are and who we ought to become. We are each put inside society’s boxes; the places where we ‘ought to’ fit in with our carreers, our callings, our future.
And if you choose otherwise, you will be looked down upon; and thought of as not good enough to fit in.

…Truly we are missing the point here.

As humans we are not supposed to be categorized according to a pattern. Each of us is different, and not all shall excell in the things considered ‘most worthy’ by our society…but how destructive is it to measure our worth in other peoples ideals? Truly we are works of art; unique, capable and filled with wonderfulness. So, don’t settle for anything less. Here’s to the dreamers, the artists, the scientists, the mothers, the fathers, the astronauts, the adventurers, and all of the beautiful people of this world who make us see and feel beyond what there is. May we find them, may we love them, may we be them.

{ I am in the mood to sink a little longer into my fishbowl of “what if’s”. } -Hela

‘Cause in the end, only the dreamers make it. The true ‘scientists’ of our time; the ones who dare to believe that behind all these dry layers of earth there is something worth living for. They are the only survivors.

KALON ~ (n.) beauty that is more than skin deep.

And I hope the next time this world makes you feel like you aren’t good enough, pretty enough, or strong enough, you remember that your very existence goes to show that at one point, you were brave enough to keep going in spite of all the reasons you had to quit. And I truly believe that nothing in this world is more beautiful and strong than that.

How lovely all your shattered pieces look now, when you see them as tolkens of strenght instead of signs of brokenness.

Om = vis

am visat că eram stele. Apoi galaxie. Apoi univers.

So, here we are, filling in each other’s blank spaces, tracing each other’s lines and pouring color onto one another wholeheartedly. And while staring at each other’s crooked lines and incompleteness, we find ourselves in awe of the unfinished masterpiece that is standing right before our eyes, only waiting to be colored in. What more could one wish for?

A chaotic soul she was. She felt everything, and all of it at once.

There was something quite tragic about her; but not the kind of tragic that is hopeless and lost; the kind of tragic that just takes time.

So, we see all the that man has created, and it is art for sure, and it is much appreciated and treasured by the people. But how much art are you, since you have mind, body and soul. You are a creator yourself, you are a source of hope, a source of life, a source of love. But at the same time you are the masterpiece, the creation, the muse. Art is merely the projection of you.
